Empowering sustainable growth across SE Asia

Why attend?

As one of the world’s fastest growing regions, Southeast Asia has a huge need to generate and manage sustainable energy. Strong annual economic growth has meant a doubling of the region’s energy demand over the past three decades. And that demand is expected to increase 4% each year through 2040.  Most of the region’s energy requirement is met with fossil fuels, but the need for oil and other fossil fuels has already outpaced production.

There is a better way. Now is the time to tap into Southeast Asia’s potential to meet its power needs by harnessing biogas as a renewable energy source. You can cut emissions and reduce your dependency on fossil fuels by using waste from regional agricultural products such as sugar cane, molasses, palm oil, corn, cassava, rice, pineapple, and rubber. Plus, you get a dispatchable renewable energy resource that complements the growing use of more volatile, weather-dependent sources like wind and solar.

It’s already happening. With the INNIO group’s Jenbacher technology, edible oil processing wastewater is being turned into energy in Indonesia, and a fruit processing plant is using the waste there for power generation in the Philippines. In Thailand, wastewater from a cassava mill factory is being converted to energy. And Malaysian biogas users are taking full advantage of policies to generate return on investment. As you can see, INNIO Group´s Jenbacher solutions have a long history of sustainable projects in Southeast Asia.

Want to learn more? In our one-hour free webinar, we’ll show you the Jenbacher technology that makes this happen, giving you key examples that detail how we’ve helped others in the region. Join us to find out how a biogas-to-power solution can meet your energy and sustainability needs, now and in the future.

Also our special guest speaker, Mr. Datuk Khairuddin Bin Tan Sri Mohd Hussin, CEO of Concord Group of Companies, will explain how his company uses INNIO technology to produce more than 13.5 MWs of power supporting Malaysia´s decarbonization efforts.
