What can this upgrade do for you?
- Extended service intervals. Up to 6 times longer intervals between scheduled services. This is the result of an increased filter surface and an advanced filtration media as well as the use of the pre-separation system.
- Lower service costs. More cost-efficient service and simpler maintenance work, enabled through the new exchangeable cartridge and extended service intervals.
- Increase uptime. Due to a simpler, faster maintenance procedure and extended service intervals.
- Lower inventory, logistic, and disposal cost. As only the filter insert, not the complete filter vessel, need to be exchanged. Weight and required storage space for spare parts are significantly reduced
How we get you there?
Exchangeable blow-by filter element introduced for more cost efficient service and simpler maintenance work, allows a replacement of the cartridge only, so the casing of the filter remains in place. The upgrade can be applied any time, ideally during a scheduled service.
Light package. This reduced bundle of measures is available for gas engines J612, J616 and J620 with blow-by system generation 1. The blow-by filter assembly with filter cartridge allows a replacement of the insert only, so the casing of the filter remains in place. The conversion includes one filter vessel with removable vessel lid.
Full package. This complete bundle of measures is available for gas engines J612, J616, J620 and J624 with blow-by system generation 1. The blow-by filter assembly with filter cartridge includes two filter vessels for J612/616/620 and four filter vessels for J624 with removable vessel lid. Additionally a pre-separator system with a wire mesh separation element removes coarse oil droplets from the blow-by flow.

** The gas mixer/venturi ring is recommended in case an engine faces high CCP (crankcase pressure) issues, due to operating conditions, engine aging etc.
*** Engine versions with earlier air filter systems, manufactured before 2010 or design number J G484, need to be retrofitted to the advanced air filter system.
