Type 6 E Blow-By System Upgrade
Upgrading to the latest blow-by filter design now used in our Jenbacher Type 6 engines is a smarter, more efficient solution for your equipment. This enhancement to your Jenbacher Type 6 engines allows you to exchange only the filter cartridge—rather than the entire blow-by system—without compromising service intervals or engine performance.

Increased filter surface, advanced filtration media, and the pre-separation system team up to extend service intervals six-fold.. - Lower service costs and increased uptime.
The new exchangeable cartridge and longer service intervals translate to greatly simplified maintenance requirements, significantly reduced service costs, and increased uptime. - Reduced inventory, logistic, and disposal costs.
Because only the filter insert—not the complete filter vessel— needs to be exchanged, the weight and spare part storage space requirements are substantially reduced.
How we get you there?
The upgrade packages, available in light and full versions, include a variety of enhancements as well as optional and add-on features. Both packages can be applied during any scheduled service interval.
Light package
Available for Jenbacher J612, J616, and J620 engines with generation 1 blow-by systems, this bundle includes:
— Blow-by filter assembly with filter cartridge
The filter casing remains in place, and only the filter is replaced. The package includes one filter vessel with a removable vessel lid, V-band connection, adapted filter insulation, and a new oil drain system.
— OEM documentation update
Full package
Available for Jenbacher J612, J616, J620, and J624 engines with generation 1 or 2 blow-by systems, this bundle includes:
— Blow-by filter assembly with filter cartridge
The package includes two filter vessels for J612, J616, and J620 engines and four filter vessels for J624 engines, all with removable vessel lid, V-band connection, adapted filter insulation, and a new oil drain system.
— Pre-separator system
The included wire mesh separation element removes coarse oil droplets from the blow-by flow.
— OEM documentation update

— Gas mixer ring adaptation
This option helps reduce crankcase ventilation system pressure.
— Advanced air filter system
If the engine is not already equipped with this system, it must be upgraded. It delivers extended service intervals and reduced pressure drop
